Puppy Vaccination Schedule
How do vaccinations
work?
Vaccinations are a method
of controlling diseases in animals (and humans). They are most commonly
administered via injection. They may be either a modified live
vaccine, which contains the disease causing pathogen
(virus/bacteria) that has been altered (attenuated) in a way that it no
longer poses a risk to the animal or a killed (or inactivated)
vaccine which as the name would suggest, contains the pathogen that
has been killed. The purpose of vaccination is to stimulate an immune
response, which creates an immunity while not causing the disease.
Puppies and dogs will
require several vaccinations against a number of life threatening
diseases including:
| Puppy’s Age |
